My Firewheel broke almost immediately. Sudden it reset by itself at an angle of vague positions. In addition, the zero point shifted occasionally, or not found at all. Often, when starting the ring began to spin as soon as the maximum speed, and nothing helped. My buddy had bought this for me from China, so I forgot to warranty issues immediately out of the box.
So therefore, I opened it myself, and I try to fix the problem.
Now, the device waits for a new circuit board.

This Firwheel entrails without hiding anything or adding :)
There are a few things that I would have liked to see :/

At the same time when I had to open my Firewheel, I thought to make this a better Finnish Arctic Circle in winter conditions suitable.
Here can be freezing cold in the winter more than 30 °.

So I put the batteries for heating, and studded tires.

Heating the battery will power the display and the alarm that the battery is not too dry. Heater yes to stop heating if the battery is too empty. But, just in case.

The unit also displays the Firewheel battery temperature and alarms if the heat is too high. The alarm temperature can be adjusted.

I put the silicone battery housings joints that water can not immediately in. Below I left the compaction, however, because the water gets in there, and now it can also leap out.

The pins are attached to the model itself.

Fine works. Battery temperature is now easy to stay +15 degrees even though the outside is -30 °.
Also, all the clothes I have a self-made heating.

A studded tire grip was excellent. None of the time not come to the kind of feeling that, the ring would be slided.

Firewheel has worked just fine. I am so excited to run this, I did not have time to eat and I do not sleep. **
The charging time is only 150 minutes. Woe is me.

Many of my friends thought I was crazy when I start to learn how even in the winter. Now, however, this has proved to be really good date. The garment may be a lot, and they roll over protection.
There is also a really good fall into icy ground when you can slide either legs or throw then completely to the ground. On bare asphalt, this would not be a good idea.

Now my friends are themselves enthusiastic.
Yesterday, one learned how to drive.
Hopefully I can get him a friend to this hobby.

I am a disabled person. And this is for me a very good muscle exercise.

Great postings and I am so happy for you that you can drive your unicycle now!

Was the electronic parts sealed so now water comes in?

I have my since 10 days and after a week a go for a ride every day for 1 hours.

Have a nice day and drive carefully

Tom

I forgot to mention that, spare parts did not pay much. And their conversion was relatively easy.
So, I would be worried if this goes sometimes broken outside of warranty. Firewheel has been carried out so that there have not been additional unnecessary connections.

Today I thought to Rovaniemi on the Arctic Circle in the village of Santa Claus taking a video for you :)

Excellent report. You could not have written a list of components that you use?

Unicycle is also a great videography.
This hand held photographed quite different imaging technology. Unable to multi chopper, at least not so that safety would be guaranteed.
It should be pretty cool video if you have a camera with a telescopic arm length is adjusted from the engine, and then gyrogimbaali away.
In this system would easily indoors describe. Also in the crowd shooting would be easy and secure.

In the video you can at the same time to explore the village of Santa Claus. Which is located a few miles from my home.
Welcome to Finland Rovaniemi Arctic Circle.

This place is even closer to the apartment.
